SAWMILL SERVICES

Our operation uses a bandsaw mill for round log breakdown, followed by a twin blade edger to break down boards further. The wood is then cut to length and has defects removed on an upcut trim-saw. We also have a large vertical resaw-bandsaw to further breakdown lumber or finished products further down the line, in the remanufacturing shop.

Nominal Lumber: Western Red Cedar and Douglas Fir stocked in all standard sizes, or available on short notice if out of stock.

Dimensional Lumber: Molder services available to produce s4s dimensional lumber in both hardwoods and softwoods. Small orders will be subject to a minimum setup fee for the molder.

Custom cut Douglas Fir timbers available, up to 20" in thickness/width, and up to 38 feet long. Grades: #1 FOHC (heart free) appearance grade timbers, Select Structural Heart Center.

Western Red Cedar and yellow cedar decking available in rough-sawn 2x6, or 5/4 bullnosed s4s. Either manufactured at our mill, or brokered through one of our partners.

Tongue and groove available in 11/16" and 1 7/16" thicknesses. Profiles include: Flush-fit, 1/8" Gap, and 45 degree Chamfer. Custom flooring fabrication available. Ship-Lap. Kiln-dried hard/softwoods.

Remanufacturing is done primarily through our 5 head molder, which surfaces and profiles the wood in a single operation. If a finish-sanded surface is required, the wood will be put through a wide-belt thickness sander.

Available in Douglas Fir, Hemlock/Balsam, Cedar and Alder. Profiles include: Flush-fit, 1/8” Gap, and 45 degree Chamfer. Custom flooring fabrication available. Ship-Lap. Kiln-dried hard/softwoods.

S4S moldings and trim available in Douglas Fir, Hemlock/Balsam, Cedar, Alder and Maple. custom profiles available for a fee with lead time to produce custom knives for production.

Able to produce custom ordered runs of flooring in Douglas fir and Maple. Profile for flooring is flush fit, available in widths from 3 1/2" exposure, up to 7" exposure
